Help with Minecart Hopper Issue in Automatic Smelter (Realm Plus)

Hello, I’m new here and not quite sure how to begin reporting this issue, but I’ll try my best.

I’m currently working on an automatic smelting system in my Realm Plus world, and I’ve run into a problem. For some reason, a minecart with hopper is getting transferred or "pushed" into a two-block-wide side track, which isn't supposed to happen.

I'm not sure if this behavior is intentional or a bug, and I don't remember it happening in previous Minecraft versions. It could be related to a recent update.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the setup to help illustrate the issue.
Please let me know if this is a known bug or if there’s a workaround I can use to fix it.
