Slowing/Freezing of players on Multi-player.

When is play with my friend, on my screen he slows down, freezes, or speeds up. And we checked our internet, it was fine. We couldn't play together because it just lags. We just stopped playing Minecraft for a WHILE. Please fix it, it makes Minecraft not fun anymore.
