Cannot play Minecraft (Beta) because it is still in sign up

When I tried to play Minecraft, it was still in sign in, so I thought I needed to wait. However, even that didn't work as expected (Actual result was not being able to play Minecraft). That's might be because I'm on the beta, which would have features in development.
