Sneaking too fast while building places blocks underneath other blocks when they shouldn't

When trying to build a bridge with the classic sneak-backwards-and-place method, I’ve recently been running into an issue where it will often place a block underneath the block I just placed when that should be impossible (see video for demonstration). My leggings have swift sneak III which helps me move faster while sneaking, and the issue doesn’t happen when I take them off (but that makes building much slower so I prefer to keep them on, quick build + no bug would be best).
