when i i spawned with my friends we all spawned right in each others faces

Nothing to do with any specific seed, you were just all occupying the same space.

I have no idea if this is works as intended or not, but I think it probably has something to do with the fact that the skins are exactly what they are: skins. The inside is hollow.
