Black screen when enabling graphic settings such as “Fancy Graphics”, “Smooth Lighting”, or “Beautiful Skies”

When enabling any advanced graphic settings such as “Fancy Graphics”, “Smooth Lighting”, or “Beautiful Skies” in the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition (mobile), the screen goes completely black and nothing is rendered.

This issue occurs on the Samsung Galaxy A55 (2024 model), running Android 14 with One UI 7.0. The device uses the Exynos 1480 SoC with the new Xclipse 530 GPU (AMD RDNA 2 based). Minecraft is the latest version as of May 2025.

Reinstalling the game does not fix the issue. The game works fine when all advanced graphics are turned off. This strongly suggests a GPU compatibility issue with the RenderDragon engine or graphical rendering pipeline.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft on a Samsung Galaxy A55

2. Go to Settings > Video

3. Enable “Fancy Graphics” or other advanced visual settings

4. Screen goes black instantly (UI may or may not respond)

Expected Result:

Game should render normally with improved graphics

Observed Result:

Screen turns black, rendering fails
