All entities dissappeared

A few days ago I noticed all of my paintings were gone, then the next time I played I noticed my villagers, sheep, and minecarts were gone. My brother was playing when it happened and I don’t think any of the entities he was around disappeared, so I think it is just things that aren’t loaded in.
