Minecraft autosave is broken or doesn't exist

I accidentally unplugged the PS5 while my son was playing in his favourite world. When we turned the PS5 back on, Minecraft said the world was corrupt and deleted it. The entire world. No backups.

What kind of computer program is this? You have time to make a ridiculous store to charge 6 bucks for a single mod, but no robust auto save system to guard against power cuts?
