Weird Armor Trim Bug?

When you apply an armor trim to something and get rid of it (Deleting it or putting it on an armor stand, etc), if you have a piece of armor in your inventory that you did NOT use an armor trim on the armor trim lines show up on it, when you actually wear it it does not show the lines though. Please fix this, it is confusing and annoying. (i do not have any sort of texture pack or mod on)
