Mining blocks by releasing and re-pressing the Mine button causes the blocks to break faster than usual in Singleplayer.

After mining a block normally by holding down the Mine button for the entire duration of the block’s breaking time, the next block’s mining time is significantly decreased when the Mine button is clicked and held down for approx. half the block’s normal mining time. In the example, I am mining trees with a Diamond Axe, enchanted with Efficiency 5 and spam-clicking to mine the logs at almost insta-mining speeds. This issue seems to have something to do with the singleplayer server, as the issue doesn’t persist in servers such as Cubecraft or The Hive.

I am running at a consistent frame-rate of 120 fps. Multiplayer is enabled in the Singleplayer world, but it was just me in the world. Simulation distance was 4 chunks; render distance was 28 chunks, v-sync was off, graphics mode was Simple.
