can't break down block

I had over 64 shards of amethyst. To travel efficiently, I consolidated into 9 or 10 blocks. Now they won’t go back to being shards, I can’t even break the block. Thank you.

PS I don’t know if my version is java or bedrock, can’t tell. Also, no idea of version affects, I guessed at an answer.

If you don't know the version where occur this will not help mojang to investigate this issue futher.

You can't turn amethyst blocks back into shards. Please attach a video showing the issue where you can't break the block.
