Cannot set custom skin on some devices

When I try to set my custom skin, there is a redirect to Google Photos which, once I select a valid 64x64 PNG image, it returns with the error message for selecting an invalid image. This is not a banned skin, as it works on my other bedrock edition devices.

I assume this may have something to do with the fact the game closes upon the redirect.
