In-game music does not follow the player.

Expected Result

Music played during the course of normal survival gameplay will follow the player, staying at a constant volume unless one changes dimensions/leaves the game, and remaining non-directional.

Observed Result

Music played during the course of normal survival gameplay will occasionally be played from a specific point, similar to music from music discs, and if using headphones, will be directional.

To reproduce

  1. Play on a survival world.

  2. Wait until music begins to play.

  3. Move away from that location.

  4. The music becomes quieter and originates from a single point.

v 1.21.92 Windows Bedrock on a Dedicated Bedrock Server with no addons.

Not entirely sure if the fact this has been “resolved” means that it will be fixed in the next patch, but as of 03/07/25, the issue persists.

Background music plays from a specific spot and fades when walking away, as if it was playing from a jukebox. This mostly seems to occur in the Overworld for me, and with several different tracks.
