For several months now, my friends and I cannot seem to join each others worlds while using mods. I’ve used both IOS and PlayStation to try and play with mods with friends, but each time they (and I) can never join.

Let’s say the mods and world take up 28 mb, well the downloading process to join said world will be extremely long. We will reach 26 mb out of that 28 and then we will be told connection to host was lost. This happens with all my friends. It’s not the internet. We used to play all the time but for the past year or so it’s been acting like this.
What happens exactly when you try to join each other's worlds?
