You can’t un-leash an allay

I recently found an allay in my world and wanted to get it to my house. All went well, until I attached a lead to it. On top of the annoying lead visual that I already bug reported, the lead wasn’t coming off the allay. I tried every angle to get it off and it wouldn’t work unless I forcefully broke the attachment by trapping the allay in my house and moving away until it broke. Eventually, I found that it only works if it has an item and you try to remove the lead while holding that specific item. Please make it so you can remove it with your fist if the allay is not holding anything.
