So I’ve been playing my 5+ year old world and I went to enable multiplayer options to allow players to join. I noticed the notice at the top sating, “you can't earn trophies. Read More.”
I read more and it’s claiming that I switched to Creative or enabled cheats. I did not do either. I’ve always played in survival.
This is EXTREMELY disappointing and want to know of a fix. I can’t say it was when the update happened recently with realism update or long before. I just noticed it today. Which would explain the disappearance of the Achievement Popups when I complete one.
I noticed a lot of similar stories on Reddit, but nobody has a fix and I don’t even think they reported it here.
This bug has disabled achievements on 100% Survival worlds on the PS5.

Also encountered this on one of the worlds in my realm. Only texture addon is currently enabled (to block off X-ray textures) but no achievements can be gained. I checked an old local backup of the world before i put the texture pack and no achievements can be gained as well.
No experiments, cheats, or didn’t go into creative for this one.
The same happened to me twice this year of 2026 and i just found out why.
It wasn’t supposed to happen as it is probably an unpatched bug.
After toggling “Attack Mobs” my achievements suddenly deactivated and it said “Achievements cannot be earned in this world” (Bedrock edition)

My knowledge was certain that this does not turn off achievements infact i did this in 2024 and nothing happened so why now?
The code of the game must have been changed

I am experiencing the exact same issue on PlayStation 5 running Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.32.
My survival world has never had cheats enabled, has never been opened in Creative mode, and has never used experiments, add-ons, or behavior packs.
The world suddenly started showing “Trophies can’t be earned” without me changing any settings. New survival worlds can still earn trophies, so the issue only affects this one existing world.
I hope this information helps confirm that the issue is still present. If possible, I also hope existing affected worlds can be restored, as this appears to be caused by a bug rather than player actions.
Oh and it happened again when I carried a stack and 24 iron blocks when I tried to get the ‘Beaconator’ Advancement.

If you have a copy of the world available, you might like to upload a copy of it for investigation.
On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
Here are the steps to copy a world save on PlayStation to a blank formatted USB stick:
On your PlayStation, go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device > Select Minecraft > Select Saved World to copy > Copy
This should then copy the world save to the USB, which you can share to a file sharing site such as OneDrive, and then share the link.
Jay, how many worlds do you want? 🙂 All of my worlds are “achievements disabled” since the update. I’m on 26.51, Windows PC. I have a nearly 4-year-old survival world that's only had marketplace addons (A&S and Realistic Biomes), plus a couple of texture packs (the main one from Bedrocktweaks) and MC has NEVER complained about them - it’s only since this update. I have backup copies for each time I play, and every single one of those worlds is now achievement disabled. I’ve removed ALL global resources plus anything on the world(s), and it’s still achievement disabled.
