The recently added player locator bar is negatively affecting anarchic servers on Realms Bedrock, as it reveals the position of all players and cannot be disabled.

Hello Mojang team,

I’m the owner of a Realms server on Bedrock Edition, and my world is fully anarchic — meaning there are no rules, and players are free to explore, hide, form alliances, or fight each other however they want.

With the recent update, a new player locator bar was introduced that constantly shows the location and direction of every player in the world. Unfortunately, this has completely disrupted one of the core dynamics of our server: secrecy and freedom of movement. Now no one can hide, plan ambushes, or live in isolation, because everyone is constantly being tracked.

The biggest issue is that there’s no setting in Realms to disable this feature, and no commands to hide or remove it either. This is seriously affecting the experience and purpose of our server.

I would really appreciate it if this player locator bar could be turned off — either through a toggle in the settings, a command, or even via a behavior pack. For servers like mine, this makes all the difference.

Thank you for all your hard work, and I hope you will kindly consider this request.

The locator bar can be disabled with the locatorbar gamerule.

You can disabled Locator Bar by executing this command: /gamerule locatorbar false
