Minecraft crashes at 60Hz

A few days ago I was playing at 90 FPS normally, since the refresh rate setting is at 120Hz, but yesterday I suffered extreme lag issues, I had to display the refresh rate and it was at 60Hz. This only happens to me in Minecraft. I tried everything to increase the refresh rate, but it didn't work. The game locks up at 40 FPS and it's uncomfortable.
