Blocks don't fall and can't be placed, and sounds take a while to play.

In some of my worlds, when blocks are chopped, they fall very slowly and during that time they cannot be collected, and when I place blocks, they are placed but then removed, and the sounds of doors, chests, and blocks falling take a while to sound. The game doesn't lag or anything for me, and the truth is it's very annoying.
