Tested on the regular PS5 (non-pro) console.
On the native PS5 version of Minecraft, the in-game framerate is unstable and fluctuates between 45–60 FPS, even when performing normal actions like walking or looking around. The issue is consistently present, particularly when the render distance is set to 36 chunks, which is the recommended setting for this version. These frame drops are noticeable and impact gameplay smoothness.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch the native PS5 version of Minecraft.
Create or load a world.
Set the graphics mode to fancy.
Set the render distance to 36 chunks.
Move around the world, especially in open or elevated areas (e.g. flying or climbing).
Expected Behavior
The game should maintain a stable 60 FPS in normal play, particularly at the default recommended settings.
Observed Behavior
Framerate frequently dips into the mid-40s, causing visible stuttering. This occurs even without any explosions, redstone, or complex builds nearby.
I have the exact same issues on PS5. Hoping it’ll be noticed, and be fixed.
