Shield Does not Block or Respond at all

When equipping a shield in the new preview with copper experiments enabled, the shield does not respond to its action button. It fails to do anything at all. Settings are on default with right-click set to use item. Opening chests and other right-click actions function correctly. My keyboard’s “print screen” button, which is not able to be mapped to anything, appears to activate the shield.
