If you toggling on/off Screen Animations in the video settings, the splash text will be changed upon re-entering Main Menu.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Minecraft, then look at and remember the currently displayed splash text
Go to Settings > Video tabs, then enabled (or disabled) Screen Animations toggle
Go back to Main Menu, notice that the splash text is different now
Expected results:
Toggling on/off Screen Animations does not changes the splash text.
Observed results:
Toggling on/off Screen Animations changes the splash text.

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
