When climbing the ladder on my survival world in the preview, I tried climbing a ladder, and it was slow and laggy, but only when I was climbing a ladder, like I was jumping up one block at a time, except I wasn’t jumping. (Auto jump was disabled if that helps)

Apparently they intentionally added this, but I don’t like it. It wasn’t until I saw PhoenixSC's video about it (go to timestamp 02:16) and I hope it becomes a toggle or even outright removing it. I'd also take it being only in resource packs, as long as I can climb ladders like normal
Mojang please do one of the above. I liked the old animation more
