In the current preview version, shelves can support ladders on all sides, unlike other blocks with similar collision boxes such as trapdoors.
Steps to reproduce:
Place down a shelf of any wood type.
Shift + right click (controls may vary with platform) on any side of the shelf (except for the top and bottom) while holding a ladder.
Expected result: The ladders would only be able to be placed on the solid back side of the shelf, and not on the front or sides.
Actual result: Ladders can be placed on any side.
