Textures change after closing and reopening the game

Created a new world. Was a large flower forest. Had an issue with the textures when my friend joined. So decided to restart the world. Same thing happened but I was the only that played that world. I do not have a texture pack attached to the world. I do have some mods on the world but none effect the the textures. I tried it without the mods as well and I'm still getting the same texture issues. Please help.
