Unable to play multiplayer on worlds with addons

Hello everyone,

I’ve seen reports like this but none of them have been resolved. I have been trying to play multiplayer in worlds with adding for a long time, but every time my friends join they load for ages and then are given the message “connection to host lost”. I have tried signing in to my account on their consoles and having them pre download the mods, still doesn’t work. Even on worlds with minimal mods they are unable to connect. Please help!!
