Rich text formating does not work in the new ui (new look of the menus)

Ever since the new ui was added to bedrock editon, rich text formating (using the § symbol) does not work. For example instead of seeing this on your world name MY World, you would see §l§o§3MY §r§o§aWorld as your world name. This is also more than a visual issue, when I try to join a LAN world with rich text formating in the name, it clicks and does nothing. On the topic of LAN worlds, the little world description shows a ? instead of the § sign. Why dont we have the server description anymore? The old ui has the server description as seen in the picture with the old ui. The affected versions says hotfix, but it has been a problem ever since the ui has been updated.
