Copper Golem Stops Searching When Leashed While Opening a Chest; Copper Chest Fails to Close

A critical issue has been identified with the behavior of Copper Golems and Copper Chests in the game. When a Copper Golem is in the process of opening a chest (specifically a Copper Chest) and is leashed by a player mid-action, two problematic behaviors occur:

  1. Copper Golem Ceases Searching: The Copper Golem immediately stops its chest-opening animation and abandons its search task. It no longer attempts to interact with the chest or resume the search, even after the leash is removed. This disrupts its core functionality of assisting players by searching and interacting with chests.

  2. Copper Chest Remains Open: Concurrently, the Copper Chest that the golem was opening fails to close. It stays in an open state indefinitely, regardless of whether the golem is leashed, released, or moves away. This is inconsistent with the expected behavior of chests, which should close automatically after interaction or when the interacting entity (here, the Copper Golem) is no longer engaged.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Spawn a Copper Golem near a Copper Chest.

  2. Ensure the Copper Golem initiates interaction with the chest (i.e., starts opening it).

  3. While the golem is in the middle of the opening animation, leash it using a lead.

  4. Observe that the golem stops searching and the Copper Chest remains open.

Expected Behavior:

  • The Copper Golem should either resume its search task after the leash is removed or complete the chest interaction before stopping.

  • The Copper Chest should close automatically once the interaction is interrupted or the golem is no longer in proximity.

This issue impacts gameplay by reducing the utility of Copper Golems and causing visual/functional inconsistencies with Copper Chests.
