Trying to play splitscreen on ps5 with new updates. When second player joins, minecraft automatically goes back to previous graphics instead of new one

Minecraft has recently updated the visuals and graphics of the game. When i try to play splitscreen on ps5, it automatically reverts back to the old graphics, before the recent update
