After download the update I open the game to see that my worlds were gone.
My storage settings are usually on “external storage” to see if this was the issue and it was set to in app storage. I changed it to external storage but still nothing.
I looked for the worlds' files and they are gone too. I don't play MCPE that much so this isn't to inconvenient for me but it might be for other players

My worlds dissappeared. My storage was on application mode. Then i changed it to external,exit the game, then opened again, they came back. Now they dissappeared again. I tried the previous method again and again but nothing. Checked the minecraft world files, nothing. Is there any chance to return them?

That’s such a scary bug.
I keep periodic (Daily backups) To account for such fear.
Glad you reported it and sorry for this loss. In the future, periodically export the world and safekeep it.
