Hello. I recently noticed items in my inventory deleting themselves or duplicating (not shown in video but it happened with eggs, books, and a written book). This is highly inconvenient when I have to quickly unload my game and later pick it up, only to find my only diamonds missing. It sucks. So I thought I would show you how it deleted blocks and items. Linked is a video of some diamond blocks and items being deleted, but also below is a photo of the compass which was duplicated. It's hard to explain in photos this the linked video.

However, this issue is Invalid for the bug tracker.
Crashes such as these are logged automatically by the game or server and investigated further by the development team internally, so they are not generally kept on the bug tracker.
If you can provide a list of steps that someone else can follow to consistently reproduce a crash then feel free to create a new report. Please be sure to always search for duplicates before creating any new report. Please see the Bug Tracker Guidelines for more information.
In general when a crash occurs some data can be lost. You should always use the "Save and Quit" option when exiting the game also.

…. So deletetion and duplications of items when crashing are invalid bugs?? Even though duplication is an issue and so is deletion?
As with any software, data loss can occur if it closes unexpectedly. Since the software is no longer running, it has no way to save whatever has changed to permanent storage. As noted, crashes that do not have reproducible specific steps are handled via the automated reporting.
But what about the duplication issue? I was unable to perform it to show but this crashing problem with deletion also can duplicate items.
Ok so. I'm going to be making a full video recording, tracking, and talking about this bug given it's VERY abusable once I figured how to control the duplication part and deletion aspect. I do not want others abusing the ability to duplicate items. Since, you really didn't help.
This bug is really dangerous and annoying. I have fallen into lava from bridging, crashing, and then reloading. But I've also lost all my ores while experimenting and other weird things. It's strange.
