Any non straight Redstone looks much brighter than its meant to be

Any non straight piece of redstone dust looks much brighter than a straight piece of redstone dust with the same signal strength, and goes to what i believe a signal strength higher than 15 would look like, and seems to be about 10 higher than its meant to be
