Placed a mob skull above me and that enabled me to swim on land.

I was building a house out of cherry planks and accidentally placed two Creeper mob skulls. The second mob skull was somehow placed where my head was supposed to be, forcing me into a swimming position. Then I was able to slowly “swim” on the floor out from under the mob skulls.
