I was playing in my hardcore Minecraft world after the new copper age update released and found a zombie villager wearing a copper helmet. To my knowledge this hasn't been a feature that I was aware of, so it has to be a bug.
My apologies, I had to edit report to clarify that this bug report was incorrect.
After a quick Google search I learned that zombie villagers can wear armor, but this is the first time I've happened to see it.
