Copper golem sprite is invisible, intangible, but copper chest did appear...

I performed the ritual, copper block+carved pumpkin. Chest appeared but no golem. After a few seconds the copper chest began to open and close. I moved out of spawn range but no change. Reset game, no avail. Placed item in chest, and was quickly sorted, but it looked like my build was haunted.
