Copper golems spawning invisible

When I create a Copper Golem either with a spawn egg or by placing a carved pumpkin on a copper block, all I see created is a copper chest, but then the invisible golem starts opening the chest and making noise. Copper golem spawn eggs are also invisible in both the inventory and the hotbar. I assumed this was an issue with my texture pack, but I disabled all resource and behavior packs and the issue still exists.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

Place carved pumpkin on copper block (any type)

Expected Result:

Copper golem appears

Actual Result:

Copper chest appears and starts to open apparently on its own
