Importing level.dat from Bedrock to Bedrock Editor does not restore the player's inventory

  • Steps to reproduce the issue: Export a world from nomral minecraft into the minecraft editor you lose your inventory, however you can get around this by copying over the level.dat file which stores all the player data like inventory it used to work before the copper age update

  • Expected result: after importing the level.dat it SHOULD restore the inventory

  • Actual result: it does not restore the last copied inventory it actually deletes all of the inventory and gives me 2 starter books from my current addons

Hello, theres an issue with the bedrock editor that causes players to lose their inventory and enderchest inventory.

worth noting that all regular chests remain unaffected and still has all their respective loots

steps to reproduce the issue.

  1. Export your world from regular minecraft with stuff in your inventory and enderchest

  2. switch to editor and import said exported world

  3. load into the world make a few world edits if you like

  4. export the world from the editor back to desktop

  5. import the world back into regular minecraft

  6. load back up and you will notice that everything in your inventory and enderchest has completely reset

Expected Result: Inventory should be unaffected when importing back to normal minecraft from the editor

Actual Result: Once the import back to normal minecraft is complete one you load back up in the imported world your player inventory as well as your ender chest will be completely wiped clean

I will post pictures upon request but I dont think that they are needed
