Since Minecraft Preview switched to the GDK build, minimizing the game window while on the joining or creating world loading screen causes a serious mouse input issue.
If the Minecraft Preview window is minimized (using the “_” button in the top-right corner of the window) while loading into a world, once the world loads in the background. the mouse cursor will start to repeatedly teleport to the same location, making it impossible to move the cursor or interact with the game.
The issue persists until the Minecraft window is brought back into focus (e.g., via Alt+Tab). Once the game window is restored, the mouse functions normally again.
This behavior effectively locks the player out of controlling their system with the mouse until Minecraft is refocused.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Open Minecraft Preview.
2. From the main menu, create or join a world.
3. While the world is loading, minimize the Minecraft Preview window using the “_” button in the top-right corner.
4. Wait until the world finishes loading.
5. Observe that the mouse cursor becomes locked.
6. Bring the window back up using Alt+Tab (as the mouse cannot be used).
Expected Result:
The mouse cursor should remain functional and movable at all times, even if the Minecraft Preview window is minimized during world loading.
Actual Result:
When the game loads into a world while minimized, the mouse cursor becomes stuck — it rapidly teleports to the same position on the screen, preventing all normal mouse movement or input until the game window is refocused.
Additional Trigger:
This issue also occurs if the player takes damage while the Minecraft Preview window is minimized. When the player is hit in the background, the mouse cursor begins to rapidly teleport to one spot until the game window is refocused or the mouse is prompted to the Minecraft window (such as when the death screen appears).
