Blocks being placed under instead of on side, sometimes under multiple blocks

When holding down to place blocks and the crosshairs is on the side of a block, doesn’t seem to matter where the block gets placed under all the other blocks sometimes through two blocks. Does this on my android too, with or without add-ons.
