Minecraft won't load after update

I turned on my Xbox, Minecraft (on the home screen) says updating across the bottom. Once completed I chose to play except it NEVER loads past the red Mojang screen. I have uninstalled/installed the game, removed/forgot my internet connection, unplugged the Xbox for a full 2-3 minutes, turned the Xbox back on, and reinstalled Minecraft. All it did was sit at the red Mojang screen a few seconds later than before and then sent me right back to the Xbox home screen. I have checked for updates for both the game and the console itself and all are up to date.

My sister has an Xbox X and is having the same issue but her load gets farther than mine, gets to the Minecraft menu then kicks it out back to the home screen.
