Problem when working with a sharpening stone

I tried to remove the enchantments from my netherite boots (Depth Strider III and Fire Protection IV), but the action failed. Instead of the cleared item appearing in the output slot, a red cross appeared in the middle. I believe the issue is that the Silence forging template was applied to my boots.
