After the recent 1.21.120 update, Minecraft no longer runs smoothly on my PC. After the update, Minecraft prompted me to sign into my account (I did), and when I entered, I saw that all my worlds were gone (luckily, I downloaded the ones most important to me). I tried to play my imported world (a server and a newly made world as well), but the lag was too bad; I could hardly place any blocks. I logged off and decided to check the following day.
Today I log on in the late afternoon, and the lag is the same. I decided to open the task manager and see what was happening to my PC while Minecraft was open (View Attached Images). With only one tab open, my PC uses 5GB of RAM, but with Minecraft open, it peaks. I hope this bug gets patched soon so I can return to my builds.
