Minecraft Bedrock uses CPU instead of GPU after latest update (RTX 4060 / Windows 11)

Description for Mojang Bug Report

After updating to the latest version of Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock Edition) on Windows 11, the game no longer uses my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and runs at extremely low FPS (~5).

Observations:

  • Task Manager shows 0% GPU usage while CPU and memory usage spike.

  • Reinstalling Minecraft, resetting the app, clearing caches, forcing GPU in Windows Graphics Settings, and reinstalling GPU drivers (clean install) do not fix the problem.

  • Other games and 3D applications on this PC use the GPU normally.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition (latest version).

  2. Load any world (new or existing).

  3. Observe FPS and GPU activity in Task Manager.

Expected Result:
Minecraft should use the RTX 4060 for rendering and run at normal FPS.

Actual Result:
Game is forced to software rendering (WARP) and will not utilize the GPU under any circumstance on this system.

System Info:

  • Windows 11 64-bit (fully updated)

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (latest Game Ready Driver)

Notes:

  • Issue began immediately after the latest Bedrock update.

  • Previous Minecraft version worked fine.
