I had villagers trapped in an approx 15x6 room with 14 beds and 13 villagers some with workstations and some not. I had one trapped in birch planks next to their grindstone. The door was blocked with a birch slab at head height so i could crouch and enter but villagers coild not leave.
Events prior to loss of villagers:
I went away on a long adevtnure to complete my level 3 map - where the village was at bottom right of the top left quadrant so near the middle of the map.
I came back to tend my farms, go through my nether portal to my other base about 500 blocks away in the overworld, enchant some tools, return back through my nether portals to return to the village and noticed all my villagers in the main building were gone and all security features still in place. One villager who i left trapped in their house was still there.
