Both minecraft:redstone_conductivity and minecraft:redstone_producer do not update properly when the block permutation is changed. minecraft:redstone_conductivity components do not update unless a repeater is placed next to them, then they update but never update again unless moved by a piston. Sans the repeater requirement, the redstone_producer acts the same way, never updating after the 1st time the block is updated unless moved by a piston or the world is reloaded. The below video shows the problem with minecraft:redstone_conductivity.
