Lodestone Compass follows mouse cursor when inventory is opened while holding the Lodestone Compass

When you open your inventory while holding a Lodestone Compass, the Lodestone Compass stops following the lodestone.Normally, the Lodestone Compass should follow the lodestone, but as shown in the video below, it stops following the lodestone. Then, for some reason, it starts following the mouse cursor instead.
