[1.21.123] Minecraft freezes or becomes unresponsive whenever I start screen recording

I’m experiencing a serious issue where Minecraft freezes or becomes completely unresponsive every time I start screen recording on my device. The problem happens consistently and makes it almost impossible for me to record gameplay normally.

Whenever I begin recording my screen using any screen recorder (built-in recorder or third-party apps), Minecraft will either freeze instantly or stop responding after a few seconds.

The game still appears on the screen, but everything stops working:

– The world stops updating

– My character cannot move

– Touch controls stop responding

– Animations freeze

– UI buttons don’t do anything

The only way to recover is to force close Minecraft.

This happens even on a completely clean installation of Minecraft from the Play Store, addons, mods, or resource changes.

I tested multiple different screen recording apps, and the problem is identical across all of them.

I also tested older versions of Minecraft (for example 1.12), and on those older versions the issue does not happen, which suggests this is a regression in newer builds.

Other games and apps on my device record perfectly fine — only Minecraft freezes when audio recording is enabled.

This bug prevents me from recording gameplay or livestreaming the game normally, which is a big issue for players who create content or show gameplay moments.

Based on my testing, it seems like Minecraft has a conflict with Android’s audio capture system that causes the game thread to freeze whenever the recorder tries to capture internal audio.

Please investigate this issue, as it happens every single time screen recording is used with audio enabled.
