Blocks disappear/player turn totally black

The blocks seem to partly or completely become transparent/disappear when use the HD texture pack or clarity texture pack it tried both to insure it was not a bug with the texture packs quiting closing and re opening the game seems to Fix it. If have run iver Realisim craft the whole player goes back with them it's just the same icon player.
