Windows PC Crashes after dropping soul sand in nether

After trading with a piglin, he threw me some soul sand blocks so I threw them out as usual. My computer immediately made a loud, obnoxious glitch noise and said it had to restart. The restart happened quickly. It happened in singleplayer in survival mode. When I rebooted the world, it was at the point my computer had crashed, but the picture next to the world before I loaded it was in a previous state. I don’t remember specifically which other windows were open, but the only one could have been Google Chrome loaded into ChatGPT and the Minecraft launcher (it stays open while I run the game). I had not been on either of those windows for several minutes.
