On-screen joystick and controls too big after update

I’ve changed no settings but since the update the on-screen controls have massively increased in size, making it much harder to play on iPad. Please see images; the screenshot with the horse and villager is since the update this evening, the other image is how it used to be.

I should add that I have double-checked the settings and none of the options as set should mean the on-screen controls are appearing so large.

Graphics are laggy now too, which is new… and I have frame rate turned right down

Update seems rather bug-ridden! What’s happened to my avatar

Please do not add unrelated issues to this report. Any other issues you find should be reported separately.

You should be able to change the size of the touch controls in Settings > Touch > Customize Controls. Does the game not allow you to change the size back to how it was previously?

So the suggested workaround (Settings > Touch > Customise Controls) has helped, but it’s irritating that it changed in the first place. All the other things I’ve mentioned (and there’s more!!) are all glitches since the update so I assumed they were connected, but when I have the chance I’ll raise separate tickets.

Hi!
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Working As Intended.

The report you have submitted is working as intended: Touch Controls: Customizable controls are now always on.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, Redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
